One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut. After the cut, he asked about his bill, and the barber replied, 'I cannot accept money from you, I'm doing community service this week.' The florist was pleased and left the shop. When the barber went to open his shop the next morning, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door.

Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you, I'm doing community service this week.' The cop was happy and left the shop. The next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a 'thank you' card with a dozen donuts waiting for him at his door.

Then, a Congressman came in for a haircut, and when he went to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you, I'm doing community service this week.' The Congressman was very happy and left the shop. The next morning, when the barber went to open up, there were a dozen Congressmen lined up waiting for a free haircut.

Unfortunately, this is a true story. I've kept up with the news more diligently for the last year than any other time in my life, and have become disgusted with how it all works. Out of hundreds of members of congress, a scant handful actually give a damn about this country and the majority of its people.  The priorities of the rest are getting elected to a higher ofice, getting reelected, getting paid off by lobbyists, sucking the asses of their campaign contributors, keeping their party in majority power, getting their party back into majority power, or fucking their mistresses, pages, interns, or political groupies. Then, when all their self centered bullshit blows up in their faces, they write a book for big bucks and go on the speaker circuit. I am sick to death of the whole fuckin' works in Washington. I'd go back to watching Bugs Bunny cartoons but they aren't aired anymore. They are too politically incorect.

Wrong, Jack. We all suffer the consequences, even if we didn't vote for them. Even if we voted for the losing side, we are stuck with them. My point is that no matter which side wins, it's almost always the side that has raked in the most campaign donations to blast the media with...that makes them deeper in debt to whatever political special interests gave money to them.  It's all bullshit, and it's bad for us.

Ah politicians....They are without a doubt (as a group) far more corrupt than any inmate/convict I've ever worked with.

Indeed brother! It has always been a battle...the educated and/or common-senced trying to educate and "de-brainwash" the ignorant and/or undereducated! It's all too obvious though which group won the last election here in this
"Obamination"...suckers! Hook, line and sinker...
