First, the good news.
I'm down 25 lbs since October. down to 290 from 315.

BUT!
My workout motivation is way down.... it isn't that I don't want to workout....
Maybe it's because my workouts, lately, are schit.... and I know it.
I don't feel good about my workout when I'm done, and when i get up to
my home gym I know that that is coming and my motivation drops in the toilet.

I'm starting a new job April 1 working road maintenance for the county that I
live in. I haven't started a new job in years, and I'm not sure what to expect.
So I may cease my workouts for a few weeks for 2 reasons.....
1. I have worked in an office, shuffling paper, for years now and this new job may
kick my ass for a couple of weeks. I'm very nervous about it and that isn't helping
my workouts, not to mention my interpersonal relationships with my family here in the house.
2. I guess I can use this time to, in theory at least, heal up some.
My elbows and ..... well, mostly my elbows could use some time to heal, which reminds
me that I was going to pick up some ibuprofen.

I will still check in here most days!

You've done great so far and I'll bet if you were to set some new goals like bringing up your bench or deads or squats then you may just get that fire back. But without some type of goals both short and long term you'll lose motivation to put in 100% effort every workout.

Okay.... today was my first workout in a month.
Holy Schit!
I went with legs today.....
Front squats - leg extentions
Standing leg curls and stiff legged deadlifts

I kept my pace up, but kept it pretty light.....
within 4 hours I was sore and my knees
didn't want to lock-up real well..... and I LOVE IT !

Don't worry about the workout being "down".ALL of us have bad days as well as stellar. You should be proud when you leave the gym after a w/o bro...no matter how bad you may think that your w/o was...HELL!...you trained, yes? That's what we do. No matter how crappy our frame of mind may be at the time. Switch things up...keep it fresh, nothing is written in stone!
Hell, once you start that new County "road-crew" gig, your ass is gonna shed major excess b/f jack! Just keep eating well and get your rest! And as far as your family relationships go...haha!... When the wife see's that FAT paycheck from the County...she's prolly gonna want to have sex with you again...     Kiss
Good luck on the new job Bad bob. You'll do great! Keep us posted on both the job AND the trainning!   Jack.

My leos are so friggin' sore right now, I stopped at the store and picked up some ibuprofen...... I'm hoping that helps!

By the way, I've dropped 15 more since the job started!

It also helps if you hit the stationary bike for 5 mins or so to just loosen up the wheels. No real tension just the motion alone will do the trick.
