I was told today that my obesity is inhibiting my GH production/ excretion. However, I was also told as I drop weight that more GH will be produce and distributed well.  Does obesity cause low GH levels???

Looks like they are related. If you do a google on obesity+gh levels, LOTS come up, but basically says obesity does decrease GH levels, BUT they will restore with loss of weight.

HGH "decreases" fat storage! When we sleep for example, our bodies release HGH into our systems. If I had the personal issue of being too heavy, I would first let my Doctor know that I may need a Thyroid or even a pancreas check. Because if the problem isn't hormonal, then it has to be endocrine related.   Good luck!

Obesity causes a great many problems (metabolic syndrom being just one), and lower GH and test levels would play into this, as well with obesity you have an increase in estrogen levels. Generally the more gut fat one carries the greater the risks to over all health, and this includes hormones as well.
