It's amazing, Jack. People from all over the world come here to ski, and wind up moving here year round. It seems some of the Hispanics move South for the winter to work in Vegas or Southern CA, but then more Scandanavians move in come fall for the ski season to work the slopes. It's a diverse bunch, to be sure. Everyone is friendly, except in the gym. In there, they treat me like rat poison. I'm OK with that. I've been trying to get the ol' intensity back up, so I resumed working out with a dead cat in my mouth. Surely that couldn't have anything to do with it.......

It probably has more to do with the fact that you're a real BB and look the part rather than the dead cat....

I don't really look the part, P.S., but I have made some good improvements from when I was really hampered by my injuries a few months ago. I'm sure I do project a sense of being very much at home in a gym environment with my training style, form, etc. Even the way someone takes plates from a tree and loads them on a bar suggests they have done this a lot.
They watch me train. I don't know what they think, but I'm sure they would be more friendly if I would loosen up. I will, when I get my physique back to what I think is a respectable level for me. Til then, I'll just stay focused.

This is somewhat funny as this ALSO happens to me more than I like. In a nut shell...It all boils down to the old "ice-breaker" factor. By this I mean only...the more folks that I/you initiate a conversation with...the more people will tell their "peeps" that you are "cool". Most people you meet will not know how to start a conversation...those are the ones that just keep looking at you. They're just not confident enough in themselves to come out of their shells so to speak. Just be yourself! Ask someone for a spot one day just for the hell of it and see what happens...
Glad to hear that your OK thease days bro...
