I am registered with the ASPCA and Audobon Society to hand-rear orphaned animals. We have the space (5.5 acres), a barn, the know how and willingness to take care of babies that have been orphaned or thrown away.
3 weeks ago, I got a call from the Humane Society because some )(*&%^# tossed a brand new kitten out the windown on a busy street. By the time I got him, he was stone cold and could barely lift his head. I had to stomach tube feed him every 2-3 hours around the clock. Now he is doing well but very tiny for his age.
On Saturday, I got another one via exactly the same situation - someone tossed him. Tis the season - Spring kittens that nobody wants so instead of letting the Mom finish nursing and taking the time and effort to find them new homes, folks toss them out the window. I have two adult cats at home that I got the exact same way.
So - here they are - Tater and Tot.
Cute huh?
The dark one is "tater" and is 3 weeks old. The other is exactly 1 week but they are almost the same size. You can see how tiny Tater is for 3 weeks! They both have eye infections so I have to hold a tea bag to their eyes every few hours, as well. I am not getting much sleep but its worth it.
Where's QOD? What's your address? I'm shipping these darlings to you when they're weaned, ok?
