Two weeks out from my first show, and three from the second. Sitting around 208ish in these pics. did a 1 day carb load with oatmeal for breakfast and white rice for the remaining meals. I actually like loading with the simpler carbs much better, great pumps and seemed to fill me out good.

I've done almost no cardio up to this point, maybe a couple times per week at 30 min, medium intensity. Just enough to break a sweat. I am going to start doing daily cardio for the next 10 days, maybe daily doubles if I feel i need to, but my body changes very well from diet manipulation alone. I do want that seperation in my quads to deepen and my back to tighten up more, so i figure its time to do that damn cardio! Yuck!

If I were you I would just keep doing what you're doing as you're pretty much there, and if you add in to much cardio you'll run the risk of chewing muscle and looking flat. Your legs and back are coming in just fine and in two weeks you'll be right on the money, so stay on the current course and DON'T DO ANYTHING STUPID!!! GOT IT!!!!!!!!

Use posing as your extra cardio as this will give the muscles a very hard look while not cutting into your reserves like real cardio would.

P.S. is right. It's working, don't fix it. It's too late in the game for anything radical to do much but screw you up.

I also agree. Too much added cardio at this point will waste you out. At the point of your final carb-load or 2, keep all water at a bare minimum, or even lower if you can stand it! The added carbs w/o the water will suck everything from under your skin leaving you high and very "dry" and hard looking. I'm not sure what your morning meal is on contest day. But during your pre-show pump I would suck on hard candy (peppermint or butterscotch). And at about 15 mins. before stage time, have about 4-6 ounces of red wine (warm). I like Merlot for this...outstanding! Best of luck HC! Keep us posted of course. Pics if poss! J.

Those quads of HCs are the result of picking the right parents, the same goes for people like Branch Warren, Tom Platz, Paul Demayo, and my lovely wife QOD (bunch of damned quad mutants!!). As a side note I've been at this sport for just shy of 30 years, hold 2 Canadian squat records in different weight classes (PLing), have a couple of pro cards in BBing, and have NEVER ever managed to develop such freaky quad sweep as HC displays!
