Well it'll be between Victor and Dexter I would think, but you can't count out Silvio, Tony, Phil or a few of the others as anyone of these guys could screw up their conditioning or come in perfect and knock the others down a notch or two.

At the Arnold it's not going to go to the past champ just cause he/she shows up (like the Mr Olympia) it'll go to the best athlete standing on the stage that day.

Too bad Fouad Abiad didn't get an invite either, I think he could have surprised a few of the better-known guys. And why no Dennis Wolf? Maybe he's waiting for the next O? I can't imagine he didn't get invited.

Funny story about Wolf: In the last Musclemag, Jim Rockell, the Olympia head judge, said Wolf looked tremendous, and that "Fifth place in his first Olympia should really scare the other top guys." Actually Jim, it was his SECOND Olympia, but it's not surprising you didn't notice him last year since he didn't get a call-out and placed tied for 16th, despite looking almost exactly the same. But of course, he wasn't a big name then - which also helps explain why Jay Cutler won the O this year, since he obviously wasn't judged on his physique either. Ahhhh why bother with call-outs anyway.  Huh

Like Adam said it's all about getting an invite (you actually have to apply), but really I will do another show in a year or two, once I bring up a few weak points. All in all though competing IS only a hobby and I seriously doubt that I'll ever get far in the pro ranks, as I'm just not into the whole self promotion BS needed to get noticed at this level. Mind you just for shits and giggles I am picking a fight with Shawn Ray on the MD board, so that may get me noticed!

I can't believe that Sonia Adcock has made it as far as she has.  HC and I saw her a few years ago at the Emerald Cup and it was awful.....She dropped her core right on stage and her tight stomach had turned into a basketball hangin off her body.  YUCK!!
