OK. I think this was asked in a previous HCBB forum. but I am beginning to feel that creatine is just no longer adding anything to my progress. I used to like the way it sped-up recovery time, but aas is by far better and in this day and age feel that I could better spend that $60.00. Anyone else feel this way? ps, M&B, QOD, HC & DQ, Adam or anyone else enhanced...

I still think it helps me a little. Cut it out for a  while and see if you lose anything. Easy enough to reload if you do.

I agree with MnB as well. Drop it and see what happens.

I love creatine. Personally, I don't really notice much difference once my muscles are saturated and I'm just maintaining, but I do seem to lose some fullness if I come off for more than a week or so. I've even noticed a difference trying the supposedly superior new forms of creatine, like ethyl ester or kre-alkalyn. I start to look a little smaller, and when I switch back to monohydrate, I fill out again.

And Jack, why are you paying $60 for creatine? Even here in Canada, home of the financially raped, I can get a kilo of creapure monohydrate for about $35, and that lasts me for over 6 months at 5 grams a day! It's the best bang for the buck of any supp IMO.

Ya I gotta agree with ya as well monohydrate is by far and away the best, but one has to make sure that it does say crea-pure on the label or it's just cheap crap.

Thanx for all of your comments thus far, but here's the thing. I dropped creatine for about 4 months straight last summer ('06) and just could not draw any conclusive conclusions...haha! say THAT 4 times fast! I felt the same, and my peeps at my gyms told me I still looked the same. SO...after that 4 month period ended, I went back ON creatine with a vengence and a massive "loading" phase (2 X the recomended amount and for two weeks, not just one). At this point, again could NOT draw upon anything solid...although I did feel thirsty more often and drank a whole lot of water!
Also, yes, all of the creatine I use is "creapure" creatine monohydrate by Optimum Nutrition. I always buy bulk quanities of at least 4000 gms. or more at a time. This is probably why my cost may seem a bit high. (don't have alot of time to shop constantly). So...after giving myself the chance to conclude on my personal debacle  Wink after months and months of laborious  Grin and all to mundane  Cool and tidious  Cheesy studies...I have come to this conclusion...a low but consistant daily dosage of Methandrostenolone (D-bol) is by far better than any amount of Creatine monohydrate! But...ya, i'll still take the creatine "just incase"... Lips sealed

Of course JT you may be a non-responder to creatine, but if you think that you "may" get something from it then by all means stay "on". At least it's a fairly cheap supplement.

Creatine is the best selling sports supplement of all time. When a supplement becomes very popular there are usually 3 possible explanations. The first is that the supplement industry did a great job marketing the product. The second is that the supplement actually delivers benefits to athletes. Finally, the third explanation is a combination of the first two - great marketing and a supplement that has some benefits.
We believe that the third explanation best describes the success of creatine. Yes, it works when used properly - but the industry has also done an amazing job to hype the product. We feel creatine can be a great aid to an athlete - but some companies have gone too far in their claims. Creatine works and is a very safe weight gain supplement. I would include it as a very inexpensive, very effective tool in your concern to build muscles. You can buy creatine from any online store.
