I work in an office with a bunch of women. Let me tell you, with my sense of humor... that can be tough!

The problem, especially this time of year with the holidays coming,  is chocolate. It used to be than if I went
 out during the day, for ANY reason, I'd get a call - asking/telling me to pickup "office supplies".aka   chocolate.
If chocolate is in the office, I EAT it, period.

Since the beginning of this year I have been doing pretty well in this area. I won't answer my phone, or I
won't tell them I am going out. But that all changed today.

One of the owners went out herself and picked up 2 huge bags of chocolate - snickers and kit kats - and brought
 them in.  Now they are in the office....... and, because I'm weak, I eay/hoover some up.

I know, if I'd just have 2 or 3 I'd be fine........... but, I'm weak.

Here's what I need -  something that I can buy or something I can make that would be a healthy alternative to the
aforementioned chocolate.

Help me out people!

Haha, the chocolate weakness!

I have the cure, but you have to do it right or you will only make it worse.

Buy a large amount of milk chocolate, kisses, bars, etc. I mean a lot! Now, sit down when your all alone and eat every last bit, no matter what. Pretend your life depends on it. You will want to quit after a handfull, your body will try to tell itself that you cannot eat any more, but DO IT! Make yourself eat it till you want to puke, then wait for a couple more minutes, and then EAT MORE. I guarantee if you do this right you will feel like absolute shit, maybe puke, but will probably will not enjoy the taste of chocolate during the holiday season this year Smiley

ps: you might do this on a day prior to your day off from work Wink

Chocolate isn't the same without a good merlot or pinot... Wink



I have a chocolate thing too.....I love the power crunch bars that HC has in his shop.....they help kick my weakness a bit.  I love to blend chocolate protein shakes too with coffee.  YUM!  I'm sorry though, there isn't a true cure for the chocolate weakness....I should know, I'm one of them.   Grin

I tell her that I can think of WORST things to be addicted to.

Chocolate DOES help me stay in shape.

If you have a craving for chocolate or sweets in general it usually means that your protein is to low so up the protein. A little chocolate now and then is fine but otherwise just say NO! Go buy some unsalted nuts at the bulk section of the supermarket and have those on hand as that will help and they are good for ya to. Otherwise develop some damned discipline!!!

Great stuff that chocolate! LOVE IT! M&M's w/ peanuts, ROLOS, Hershey bars w/almonds and Baby Ruth bars...Mmmmmmmmmmmmm!   Tongue
          Chocolate w/Merlot IS good DQ. Have you ever had your Merlot with a freshly dipped chocolate covered strawberry (or 5 or 6) on the side? Definately "sex" food!

I work in an office full of women too.... I've been there long enough to watch them swell up over the years. They don't  expect me to bring things in anymore since I indulge infrequently. The cheat day concept saved me when I was still competeing. One day a week, I had all I wanted. I don't know which pissed them off worse.. that I didn't have to eat it just because it was there, or that I could pig out once a week and still stay reasonably lean. Unfortunately, it's up to you. Either eat it or not. What's it worth to you?

I also work with a lot of women and one always has a bowl of chocolate at her desk.  It always cracks me up when somebody stops at my desk with a handful of Hershey kisses and complains that they're fat (while eating them).  Too funny.  I just don't eat it.  Although, if I do have "just one" I end up eating many more, so I just don't start.

I wrestled in HS so my "fasting" skills are pretty strong and I have decent food discipline.  My weakness is alcohol.  Beer is so, so tastey!!

Oh, at work they also have a Friday Breakfast Club where they alternate who brings in breakfast on Fridays.  I always refuse to join because the breakfast usually is doughnuts or some other gut buster.
