I've read a while back on Sylvesterstallone.com about a workout he did with Franco Columbu during "Rambo II". It went like this: Monday-Wednesday-Friday: Chest, back, abs in the morning and arms, shoulders and abs in the afternoon. Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday: Calves, thighs in the morning, rear delts. traps and abs in the afternoon. The article did not say what exercises, sets, reps or routines he did. Can anyone help me with what to do to follow that routine for about six weeks. I am currently on a 4 day split, I am 46 yrs old and I would like to get "Rambo Cut" if I can. I can really use the advise from you guys as far as exercises, sets and reps. Thanks again in advance for any and all info.

To get ripped it's all about the diet and cardio as the workout when dieting is all about maintaining muscle mass. So IMO one major bodypart per day plus abs, calves etc is what works best. And as far as age goes I'm 47 so I feel that following that rambo type of program is going to be very hard to recover from unless you use AAS.

Good point ps, as I do 2 major BP's at each workout (plus calves and abs). It takes me 1 to 1 & 1/2 hours at most for this per session. And like yourself being a bit more mature than some...this has proven to be the method to gain mass, muscularity, definition. Don't waste too much time in the gym. Leave some stored energy for growth and recovery. Get tons of protien and some carbs and fats... GOOD TO GO!!

If you're wanting to get lean then cardio should be a daily event of no more than 20 mins and I feel that HIIT is the best way to go here as well.

Now as for bodyparts I usually do shoulders on monday with calves, tuesday is hammies and quads, wednesday is chest and you can add abs here, thursday is back, and friday is arms. Each workouot should only last no more than one hour and then 20 mins of cardio post workout. This coupled with a high protein, moderate fat (EFA), low carb diet will get you lean very quickly. I would suggest that you have one junk/very high cal day per week to assist your metabolism as well.
