Yep he's a freak for sure, but if the judging continues to go in the "new direction" he may have trouble due to his somewhat less than Xframe.

X frame. Like more narrow wasted and less blocky. Going for proportion and lines over pure size which imo was a huge problem over the last 10 years. Good example for the 'mass monsters' would be old school:Ron Coleman (massive & blocky with huge gut), to what I hope is the new standard: Tony Freeman (who is very large, but still has the X frame and great proportion all around). To me, people like Dexter Jackson, Lee Priest, Lee Labrada, Flex Wheeler (how could I forget my fav?) & Kevin Lavrone should have all been at the top during their peaks as opposed to those who just packed on the most pounds. vs.

OK thanx DerekB. Initially this is what I thought, and I agree with you as far as Kevin Levrone and Dexter go...but Priest is very blocky, and Labrada hit the mark in his day, but now I feel that Lee just would not be able to hang with the compitition at hand. But again...I DO understand your point. My favorite physique of all time as far as mass AND symetry go, is STILL Flex Wheeler ...

Flex was at his best before he played the size game and started using site enhancing compounds then his physique made marked nose dive right along with his kidneys health courtesy of nolotil (site enhancer).

We have a show here on cable TV called "FLEX". It features Boyer Coe (still lookin huge), Shawn Ray and, yep...Flex Wheeler! Still huge and pretty ripped! All three just blast through a workout for 30 minutes...I love it! I did hear of Flex's health probs although I didn't know the reason. It's too bad when folks have to resort to such methods just to "keep up with the Joneses" and stay competative in the IFBB.

Yah I agree. Flex Wheeler is my all time favorite as well. Labrada during his peak was amazing though, and I honestly think he should have been up there at the top during those early 90's years. Lee Priest was amazing as well during his peak, and although he wouldnt be able to score to well nowadays, back then he sure should have. But he, like alot of them, knew they'd never stand a chance unless they played the all out mass-monster game. The pics I posted were just to show the 'mass monsters' as they were just a few years ago, and what its looking towards going. I did show a bad pic of ronny but he does have a horrible midsection

Rommie had a great physique way back when and has made significant gains over the years (which in and of itself is truely amazing when you consider how long he's been BBing and a pro since 92).

Ronnie's physique is nice....not my favorite, but nice. I lost some respect for him after a couple interactions with him. However, that picture of Flex is amazing.....he definitely has a physique that is truly one of a kind to see.
