This may be an old question, but I couldn't find anything in a search. How do you all remove body hair? I started shaving my head about 6 months ago and I love it. However, it added another 5 min to my morning shower. I'm considering shaving at least my arms and legs (maybe chest), but I can't think of shaving with a razor every day. So, I tried Nair for Men on my arms yesterday. Yeah, I think I left it on a little too long because I now have a low-grade chemical burn on my arms. YUCK!! So what do you all do to take care of hair? Is there another product, or do I just need to take it off sooner? OR, do I just need to suck it up and use the razor?

I have'nt started shaving my head as YET...but ya never know... For my beard I MUST use water and some sort of shave cream (too painfull to dry-shave face)...BUT, on the other hand what works the best and fastest for me when it comes to shaving bodyparts and limbs...I can't beat "dry-shaving" with a Gillette double-blade safty razor! To shave my entire body (well, not just EVERTHING... ), it takes anywhere from 8 to 10 razors (they tend to "dull" quickly)! For example...I use 1 for each arm, 1 for each lower-leg, 1 for each upper-leg, 2-3 for chest and abs...etc. My skin never gets red or irritated from this mannor of shaving...try it! As the razors are relatively inexpensive and you only need to do it every week to 10 days or so...( and ya...those creams never worked for me either!!)

Nair works very good for me but dont leave it on more than 15 minutes, test it by wiping some hair off after 15 min and jump in the shower right away other than the smell it does the trick for me.

I am not a very hairy person in general so I have it easy (no chest hair, back hair ect......light arm hair and modest leg hair). If you want to go the 'waxing' type route, Nads is the best I've seen personally. Yes Nads. ( www.nads.com ) For a less painfull type of removal, there is also a spray product called Ultra Hair Away which works great as well. I actually used UHA on my feet because I had an undesirable amount of hair on my toes haha....and lets just say I no longer have that problem. www.nads.comhttp://www.shavenomore.com/?a=rlscott&t=A19&c=0Also for the head shaving, make sure you use items specifically designed for the head. There is a great one called Head Blade which is much faster and safer to use than a regular razor, even though it uses a regular blade its just the design of the item itself. ( www.headblade.com ) Their Headslick product is also great (you can usually find these in most drug stores like Bartells)

Thanks for the tips. My arms are better today, but still red splotches. I'll try just straight shaving with a razor. My concern was that I'd have to do it every day. But if it will last a few days, I guess I can live with that. Then it's just a matter of getting a razor over all those funky spots.
For my head, I did discover the Head Blade about a month ago. I love it!!

Soap a razor and the shower work best for me, but QOD usually dry shaves my back for me.

Quick update: Took another step last night and shaved the legs to match the arms. Worked out well, as my wife had to "help me" in the tub. Plus, she now refers to my legs as sexy!! I've decided to stay away from the Nair for Men and go old school with a razor. It's not as bad as I thought it would be.

QOD----your new avatar-----you didn't really open the lid on that crate did you? Now the beast is free to roam and destroy! The woman who plucks all her body hair----hope she is one of those sparsely-haired body types! I can't imagine doing that and suspect she has some kind of OCD disorder to go along with the tweezers............... There's a hand razor out now that is a little on the expensive side but works well and is so easy. It is called Intuition and the razor head has a "pad" of solid shaving cream on both sides so no using shaving gels and the mess, etc. As long as you replace the razor head regularly it shaves smooth and with no bumps.
