Okay, last year, about this time, my wife and I bought one of these  http://www.vectrafitness.com/products/products_vx18.php . The deal was;

A.) This would be set up in the rec room, and I wouldn't have to run an extension
        cord out to the shop, for light, where I had all sors of equipment set up. Power rack,
        a leg press/hack squat/calf machine. Lat pull-down, a seated calf and an assortment of
        dumbells. Yes, in the winter it was cold!

 and 2.) My wife could then workout, without having to load , and unload, plates.

 That was fine. things worked out pretty well this last year. I didn't really make any gains, but I don't think I lost much, as far as size goes.

 Over the summer we built a new house (love it!), and out back we put up a shop. The shop itself is larger than the last one,and it has power and heat, but we added a room on it... our "fitness" room as it were.

 Val was arranging, on paper, how the big machine, treadmill, exercise bike and small "tramp" were going to fit in this room when I told her that I think I needed to bring the power rack back into the rotation. This last weekend, we had the machine professionally moved over here (for the last 3 1/2 months I've been drivimg over to our unsold house to get my workouts in), and I brought in the rack and set them where I wanted. Workouts this week have been great!!
 After chest/tri's on monday the pecs felt "heavy" well into the afternoon. Tuesdat, and today, they were just a pleasant level of soreness, not a crippling soreness! Nice!
 Yesterday's Back/ Bi's workout yielded, into the afternoon, A feeling that my lats were about four feet wide, and they felt like jello!
 I've got tunes out there, the room also has cable, for the stints on the treadmill or bike. I tried to think of everything!..... I guess this weekend I SHOULD go get the aforementioned treadmill and bike and place them...... Roll Eyes

It sounds like you have the perfect place to work out.  But now you won't get to post in the threads about the annoying people we all encounter in the gym.  Can't wait to see the pictures.

Things in the new "gym" have been going well. Before high school tennis season started my wife and 16 year old daughter were out there most afternoons getting in an overall workout. I set them up with two workouts..... a push workout, and a pull workout.
 My workouts have been going quite well. Although, last week, after chest/triceps, I pulled a rib "out". This makes it hard to breath mostly, but it is a quite uncomfortable. Fortunately I was able to get in to see my chiropractor, and he was able to straighten things out, and today I started back uo there @ 5:45 am this morning!
 I've got an appntment with him next week as well..... I tend to get headaches after doing traps, and lately after shoulders. Again... kinda sucks, and holds me back.

Now, if I could lose some of this blubber.......

I hear ya on the rib injury as I've also been there done that, and your probably out of alignment a bit and this is where the headaches are coming from (this also happens to me at times as well).

Also, yesterday, for my birthday, my family bought me a T.V./dvd player for the gym. And a wallmount with which to mount it.
 I think that watching p0rn during the workout might be a bit too distracting though......... Grin
