Stats, 310 lbs, 6ft 1, 23%bf
OK I have a couple questions here. I just finished 8 weeks of 500 mg of sus and 600 mg of deca. I have also just tarted taking 20 mg of nolva each day. First, when should I begin to tapper down the deca and sus? and second, when should I stop with the nolva? I was planning on tappering down to just 250 mg of sus wks 10-12. Continuing nolva until wk 14. I might also begin taking some clen soon. So far I feel great, my strength is still going through the roof, I do feel like that incredible pumped all the time feeling from the sus has died down. I just want to make sure I don't crash too soon.

That's not a bad setup like you have it posted. I'd probably run the nolva one week longer. I've tried running a constant dose of nolva and a taper... I kind of like a 3 week taper 40-20-10. Running a level dose will work, though. I'd start taking about 3 gm of tribulus a day also. That will help things a long quite a bit. Run that well past the nolva.

I am not a fan of tapering, and I'll explain why. Tapering is a fundamental belief among most AAS users in belief that it is necessary to preserve the muscle mass and bring your natural testosterone levels back up. This is a flawed theory though because of your body not being able to turn "on" its natural production until it recognizes an androgen deficit, not just a drop in AAS dosage. Keep in mind that one Dianabol tablet can produce the the equivalent of a full days androgen supply for the average male, so it would be pointless to drop from 5 to 4 to 3 etc. Now you look at the bigger picture and look at the Sust, and Deca driving your levels high, and it will take a complete abstinance from them, and your blood levels to eventually drop to a level to where your body can recognize a deficit (basically NO test in your system). A simple remedy is to wait a week or two from your last dosage (maybe three if you ran deca long) and THEN run your PCT hard and heavy to kick everything on. William Llewellyn really promotes this and explains the theory in his book Anabolics 2006, probably can explain it much better than I Wink

Keep in mind this is my opinion also, everybody has their own.

If this link doesn't work then go to CJM and have a read of the sticky put up it's a thread started by Prisoner 22 regarding tapering, and it's in the general forum.

That is a good read, great to get a different opinion of it. Like anything, there are two sides to the coin.

Laying science aside, I just find that a taper gives me a smoother transition from on to off. I've done it both ways, in fact, every way imaginable at some point, but a stepdown and nolva pct and staying on trib has worked the best for me.

Generally this system seems to work best for anyone who tries it. In the past I had always used a taper, but with the added science we have now certain acilliaries appear to make the transition from on to off that much easier along with a taper.
